Approaching Kiel Holtenau on the way to a management-meeting which also includes a ride on a 60ft Trimaran in the Kieler Förde. |

A look onto the bigger locks of Kiel-Canal, in Germany refered to as Nord-Ostsee-Kanal, or NOK. |

This was TietoEnator/Audi from the front. I think it looks a little bit like an insect ! |
|

Hey, somebody should clean up the mess, before we go out later :-) HERE IS A SHORT WMV VIDEO (6MB) of our ride

This is Thomas
Johanson, one of the two skippers of this Trimaran explaining to us, why
they like this boat:
"It is the fastest, meanest and most agressive boat for sailing. And the most fun !" |
|
|
Here an AWESOME Video from Youtube about our TIETOENATOR ORMA60 Trimaran in action! | ||
Thomas explaining
things to Markus, or maybe the other way round. It was soooo amazing to be able to overtake big cargoships which were doing 17knots and other motor-yachts |

These are only the
sails for transfer-sailing from one port to the other. The Main-sail weighs around 240kg but the competition mainsail only 80kg ! The competition sails are |

Andreas filming. I think we deserved the great weather that day ! 24Celcius and Wind SE 3 |
|
|
21,4knots was not
bad for the beginning. To be honest, this kind of sailing redefines the word
SPEED for sailing. Later we had up to 25knots. |
|
|
Check-out the swiveling mast-base. The mast can be tilted 11degress to enhance performance if the boat is tilted. |

Frank taking it easy and enjoying the ride. |

Starbord foil just entering the water. |

This gives you an idea about hull and foil-size. Markus is not a small dude :-) |
|
|
Sonja is enjoying the sun and the sailing |

Carl Lindfors, the guy who made this livetime experience possible ! |

The next morning, when flying home my brother requested a scenic-circle over the Foerde and got permission for it. So while he was flying the plane i tried to get some pictures, which was not easy, because i only had my small digi-cam with me. |

Just missed it ! On Friday night they are going through Kiel-Canal to the north-sea and then to Southhampton, later to France and the the boat goes from St.Malo to Guadelopue SINGLE-HANDED ! |

|
The boat tacking. Check the narrow tack-angle for that speed ! |

Last picture of a great day with great people on an even greater boat ! |

THATS IT ! |
